What’s going on at Frontier Communications?

In a statement provided to Reuters, Frontier said, “The Frontier team is working with federal officials to assist them in their investigation.
We are in close communication with the U.S. Government and the Department of Homeland Security.”
On March 3, the FCC issued a preliminary notice that Frontier’s system may be down due to “significant disruption to communications,” and that Frontier “will continue to monitor and provide updates as we get additional information.”
Federal regulators are not ruling out any actions.
A spokesperson for the Federal Communications Commission said Frontier is “committed to making sure that we can provide the customer service and broadband service they deserve, and that we are prepared to provide them with any necessary assistance that may be required.”
The Frontier Communications outage has left many in rural areas without access to internet, and the company has said it is working to fix the problem.
Frontier has been accused of failing to provide adequate information on the problems.
